OKX Personal Information Setup Guide (App & Web)

New OKX users must complete three essential personal information setups before trading: KYC verification, mobile number binding, and funding password configuration. This guide walks you through both the app and web versions.


Mobile App Setup

KYC Verification

  1. Open OKX App → Tap the top-left menu → Select 【Identity Verification】 or directly click 【Identity Verification】.
  2. Complete these steps sequentially:

    • LV.1 Basic Verification
    • LV.2 Advanced Verification
    • LV.3 Video Verification (optional)

Note: Higher verification levels improve buyer/seller matching and trade prices.

Mobile Number Binding

(Skip if registered via mobile.)

  1. Tap top-left menu → 【Security Settings】【Mobile Verification】.
  2. Enter:

    • Phone number
    • SMS code
    • Email verification code
      → Confirm binding.

Funding Password Setup

  1. Navigate to: 【Security Settings】【Funding Password】.
  2. Set a new password (≠ login password), confirm it, enter SMS code → 【Confirm】.
Security Tip: Avoid reusing login passwords to prevent asset risks.

Web Version Setup

KYC Verification

  1. After login, click top-right profile → 【Identity Verification】.
  2. Choose 【Personal Verification】 → Complete LV.1 and LV.2.
Video verification (LV.3) requires the OKX App.

Mobile Number Binding

  1. Go to: 【Security Center】【Mobile Verification】.
  2. Follow on-screen instructions.

Funding Password Setup

  1. Access: 【Security Center】【Funding Password】.
  2. Configure as prompted.
Remember: Use unique passwords for transactions/withdrawals.

A: No. Basic KYC (LV.1) is mandatory for all transactions.
